1. Introduction

Welcome to David Young Roofing (“we”, “us”, “our”). These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website at www.dyroofing.com and any roofing, cladding or related services we provide. By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

David Young Roofing is based in South Grafton, NSW 2460 and operates throughout the Clarence Valley and surrounding regions.

2. Services

We provide metal roofing, tiled roofing, copper roofing, wall cladding, guttering & fascia, roof repairs, re-roofing and custom flashing services. All descriptions of services on our website are provided in good faith and are intended as a general guide only. Specific project details, scope and specifications will be confirmed in individual quotes.

3. Quotes & Pricing

All quotes are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. Prices quoted are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of GST unless stated otherwise. We reserve the right to adjust pricing if the scope of work changes, unforeseen site conditions are encountered, or material costs change significantly between quote and commencement.

4. Acceptance & Engagement

A quote becomes a binding agreement once accepted in writing by the client (including email or text message confirmation). Once accepted, cancellation may incur charges for materials already ordered or work already commenced.

5. Workmanship & Completion

All work is carried out to a professional standard in accordance with the Building Code of Australia (BCA), relevant Australian Standards, and manufacturer specifications. Estimated timeframes are provided in good faith but may be affected by weather, material availability or unforeseen site conditions. We will communicate any significant delays promptly.

6. Payment Terms

Payment terms will be specified in each quote. For larger projects, progress payments may be required. Final payment is due upon completion of works unless otherwise agreed. Overdue accounts may incur interest at the rate of 2% per month on the outstanding balance.

7. Warranties

We provide a workmanship warranty on all completed projects as specified in the relevant quote or contract. Manufacturer warranties apply to all materials and products installed and are separate from our workmanship warranty. Warranties do not cover damage caused by neglect, misuse, unauthorised alterations, extreme weather events or failure to carry out reasonable maintenance.

8. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer rights under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)). Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law, including the guarantee that services will be provided with due care and skill and be reasonably fit for purpose.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to our services is limited to the cost of re-supplying the services or paying for the cost of having the services re-supplied. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss or damage arising from our services.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless David Young Roofing, its owner and employees from any claims, losses, damages or expenses arising from your breach of these terms, misuse of our services, or any negligent or wrongful act on your part.

11. Safety & Site Access

Clients must ensure safe and reasonable access to the work site. Any hazards, asbestos, electrical risks or access restrictions must be disclosed prior to commencement of work. We reserve the right to suspend or refuse work if site conditions pose an unacceptable safety risk.
